I believe power windows were first available in 1984 for Trucks and 4runners. They were optional; crank windows were standard.

None

Thanks for your reply. My grandson was in my 92 pickup a couple days ago and was amazed. He asked why it didn't have buttons for the windows and why I had to shift gears. The next time he's over I will teach him how to drive it.

Only one of my 5 kids was the slightest bit interested in learning to drive a manual tranny vehicle. I taught her how to, along with the basic maintenance. Oil, water, hoses, plugs, etc, etc.
When she joined the Marines, she got stationed at Camp Pendleton, just a couple hours from our home in Yuma, Az, so I let her use my pickup. She was so proud to have such a classic vehicle, that no one else had ever even heard of among her friends on base. Every one just had to get a ride in it, at least Also got some help replacing the pressure hose and seals for the PS system from the hyd shop in the Motor Pool. Ahem. I didn't say that...

She loved every second of having that little truck. Sadly, when she got back from overseas, she could no longer drive a stick. Didn't loose any limbs, but she has mental trouble, difficulty with coordination...
Oh, well. At least I still have that little truck. I still love it.

Have fun!

Pat:
I did 5 years in the Navy during the Southeast Asia thing.
Your children have shown that patriotism, and love of the flag is still alive and well in the U.S.of A.
Take pride in the fact that it also was your example as a parent, that instilled this love of country in your kids.
