power chip
i was wondering if anyone has tried using a power chip from g-force co.they`re a legit co.in orange county california.i was thinking of getting one,it interfaces with the e.c.u.they make one for my `86 4x4.your suppose to get more power by way of advancing the timing at higher speeds and optimizing fuel/air ratios.please chime in with your experience or thoughts.

sounds like the ol' resistor chip that tricks your ecu into thinking your getting colder air so it leans your fuel mix out... had one on my '99 maxima. I call them "placebo chips" you might think you gained "up to 20 hp" like the ad says. but not really
edit: what motor is this for?

Don't waste your money. All electronic fuel injection systems "advance timing at higher RPM's and optimize air/fuel ratios". Unless you have changed some mechanical aspect of the engine then you will see no difference except a lighter wallet.

You could always add a piggyback ECU controller (something like an Apex'i SAFC) if you wanted to play around. Add a wideband O2 sensor with datalogging and do a fuel pulls. Remove or add fuel where you're running rich/lean.
Realistically, you're not going to gain much from it, but it might be fun to play around with.
