Well, I decided to take my rear bumper off. Now I have so much more clearance.

more clearance yes, but now if you do hit, there nothing to protect it. And it looks like you lost your only rear tow point.

Id put it back on, just mount it higher up.

I agree... but look at it this way: who else has a red truck with a red frame, huh? Kinda of my own theft deterrent system...now you know.
But i will be spraying it flat black when i start getting the armor on.

seems to be fine. But it is getting changed because with my Marlin bumper i won't be able to use it anymore. Plus the 35 will block my Receiver hitch. So stock rear carrier will be for sale in the next week. if someone wants it PM me and offer. I will include all hardware.

Yotatech noob here,

Just bought my first Toyota a week ago. Looked like this when I got it:

Had to get rid of those lame stock wheels and tires:

Got her a little dirty today for the first time too, unfortunately no pics. But I'm sure it looks no different than any PU in the mud :-P

So, I do have plans for this truck. But mainly, they are plans for proper maintenance and care rather than extreme modifications.
- Intense radiator flush. Currently filled with green, need to switch to red.
- Rebuild/clean idler arm. Steering does seem slightly sloppy.
- Figure out my gearing. Might change out the gearing in the back to go along with my new 31.5s.
- Find a way to raise my front end about 2" to get her to sit level and give me a bit more clearance up front.

Luckily I found these forums. Seems like there is quite a bit of reading material on here. I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I'll be around

dkyleb, just some food for thought. If you do end up doin some re gearing in the rear you will want to redo the front as well if you intend on usin the 4 wheel. If you don't have matching gear ratios there will be binding and prolly breakage somewhere, cuz the rear would be turning slower than the front
