My 95 4runner's gas milage has taken a dive from 17 to barely 13 ,v6 3l 4wd. plugs wires rotor and cap only about 2yo, with less than 20k. cleaned k&n air filter, new fuel filter. 150k easy miles, very little off roading. No engine lights. Before I try a local dealer that I'm not truly confident in, what else should i try/replace?

 

air pressure check
pull your plugs make sure there ok thats cheap (free if you have tools)
check your timing

Thats akk i have but there is endless threads i have a 87runner and from what i read there not the most fuel effitiont things on the road

haha, never take your 4runner to a dealer and ask what could be wrong with it....they will find (make) something wrong with it!

 

replace your o2 sensor.
What plugs are you running?
