Please name this part

Hello,
When my headlights are on, and I switch them from low beams to high beams, they shut off. If I wiggle the switch some, they will work, but it won't pass state inspection like this. I took the steering column apart today to look into things, and I also make a trip to the auto parts store.

At the store, I told them I needed a headlight switch. However, that part is only the arm that sticks out to the left of the column, and the wires that come out of it. That's all. That is not where my problem lies. In these pictures, follow the headlight/turn signal arm from left to right, and there is a little metal piece which is screwed to a bunch of black plastic. That black plastic piece is what I need. There is a little button in it that is behind the headlight switch arm, which the arm makes contact with when it is switched from low to high beams. I think that little button is worn out. Does anyone know what the black plastic part is called?

Here are the photos:

Goto the dealership and get them to print you out an exploded view and you should be able to get the part name and pricing there.
Or... someone on here might be able to get it for you

If they are like the first gen trucks you probably just need to clean the contacts inside. I say that like its easy. lol

Ok, I'll try to disassemble it further until I can find something to clean. I did clean off that button, but that's all so far. I'd definitely rather clean something than have to buy something. Thank you!

I took your advice and disassembled further, and found the contacts to clean. One was black. I cleaned them up and now it works like new. Thanks!

I just got a whole combination switch with cruise control for $40. Not too bad, but about half the price of most used ones without cruise.

My wiper lever was looser than I liked. Gambled on a used one on eBay and it seems like it will work out.

They usually seem to be in the $60 to $80 range for most.
