please help me guys and girls!!

ok my 22re is going nuts and taking me with it. When im driving and stoped at a light she idles very badly wants to die, and i have to give it some gas to stay running. When im driving from the light in 1st gear she falls on her face no power no nothing. then i go to full skinny and it gets a lil worst but keeps going misses everything then at 3,200 to 3,500 rpms its like nothing ever happened all better.


i dont get this at all please help me its getting worse and worse everytime i drive it


everythings grounded and good NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT nothing

has 268 cam open air filter and thats about it was doing just fine 2 days ago now i cant even drive her

i tried unpluging the cold start injector and it did nothing please help me im ripping my hair out here!!!

duct tape leaking?

which whatever... try pulling your trouble codes and see what comes up.

Fuel filter??
Timing??
trouble codes??
Loose electrical connection???
Vacuum/Egr???
AFM(x2)??
TPS(x2)??

If multiple codes, try to resetting ECU then drive to see what is thrown.

and after hours on the phone with him....

there might be a problem with the spring in the AFM...
he remembers there was a problem before and it did the same thing....

oh, and there's a temp switch on the thermostat housing which has a connector that has corroded and the wire is connected just as well.

and...

and...

damn man, that sucks, last time i saw her she was 99.9% metal and 00.1% wood block, but still runnin hella strong. id have to agree with abe, other than that it sounds like its flooding at low rpms, which then comes back to the afm, or the AFM boot. dont get it from toyota, go to a wrecking yard bro! im gonna hit one up next weekend and get me some lincoln towncar seats, (COMFY AS HELL), a right side fender, if they have one in good condition, and a e-brake assembly.

i had a similar problem before on my honda and it turned out to be faulty plug wires. easy way to check it is to check the resistance between the points with an ohm meter

im sure he has replaced the plug wires... thats the absolute first thing you check. the wires, plugs, and dist.
