yeah... lol...
I don't have a coolant sensor or sender on my coolant outlet fitting...
... and I also don't have the 'high altitude compensation' option either...
... and?

*edit- @ a4runnerfreak... on the phone a couple days ago, I told him the same thing I just posted, so I guess he didn't do any research.

well, whaddya expect Abe, it's NORBERT you were talking to. Well, I looked at my FSM's, and the 91 22re t-stat housing does show what he pictured. I know not the same year, but I looked anyways.

But I know, I would've done the research on what you suggested. But, that's me.

I was under the impression that the sensor with the bad wire on top of your Thermostat is just controls the Temp guage on the dash. The wire on mine on my 87 totally fell off and I had to rip the sensor apart to get to some wire to solder the wire back on. Then just patched it up with some JB Weld.

Mine fell off when I was changing the Thermostat.

You can stick your finger in the AFM and check the spring tension and the bushings without even taking the hoses off.If you do take it off look for drag marks where the vane moves.Should be minimal.
