try cutting a relief in the arm.just don't cut into the splines.if it still won't let go put a chisel in the cut and hit the damn thing. that has worked well for me.

I have absolutly nothing to add to this thread that would help you, it has been covered over and over, Tension, Mini Sledge Wacks, and it should pop off. You have already covered the lubricant portion. If you do need heat, it should not take muck more than just knocking the chill off the idler arm around the shaft.
