Closest fit possible is the 4runner seats or buckets out of a matching pickup but im pretty sure you'll still have to drill atleast a couple mounting holes.

$2 bolts washers, lock nuts, nuts and two holes is a lot easier than customizing seat bracketry (non toyota buckets). =)

 

in my 87 2wd pickup, the bench was ripped to pieces, so we got two buckets out of a 1989 camry. they had all the bells and whistles (all manual dials, of course) and the mounting brackets lined up almost perfectly (drilled two holes each for the rear brackets). Just plugged the old holes with the bolts that were in it. best parts: same seatbelt receiver. the front of the bracket was pre-bent like shown in the pics above (needed 10 degrees more of a bend!). Easy mod and the back liked it too!
total cost: $50/pr at the junkyard

 

the only hole that I had to drill was for the seatbelt, on the hump between the seats. if you wanted you could leave the seatbelt mounted where it was, and do no drilling at all. just unbolt the seatbelt, and bolt the seat and seatbelt into the same hole.

you should also note that the hole i drilled was in a spot that was made for drilling - it had an indentation and a little plasic cover over it.

the seats are awesome..

 

These are now in my 1990 extracab. I had to make a small bracket for the front right side as that hole doesn't line up, otherwise the bolt in.

My recaro's bolted in. No modifications needed.

 

For a set of sport seats out of early to mid '90 truck you can either, 1. space the back side bracket but then the whole seat sets a little higher than the old one, or 2. easily cut off a set of rear brackets and have them welded on.

The 4runner ones are the best since they bolt right in and have the cubbies on the back of the seats.

 

To further clarify the seatbelt attachment location. I put mine into the same hole as the seat. This is where the seatbelt is located on a factory bench setup.

the hole he put his in is just above mine which is covered with a plastic sticky cover.

I wish I could go find some bucket seats for my trucck. We have crappy junkyards around here. I almost have to goout of town to finda good deal on simple parts.

What's a good price to look at paying for bucket seats?

 

i just put '88 Toyota Supra buckets in my '94. the driver's side is power adjustable for the following:

up/down right on your ass, up/down right behind your knees, power slides forward/backward, lumbar in/out, and side bolsters in/out (squeezing you).

it's SO comfortable. i had the stock bench seat in there, and it would hurt my ass after a 3 hour trip. i can sit in these things ALL day and not be sore.

4 bolts for each, passenger side i got to line up with factory holes (plus one extra bolt where it wasn't tapped already), driver's side i got one to line up and made three custom holes. not too bad for a wicked comfy ride!

i'll post pics later when i take some. oh, and i got 'em for free because i just got racing seats for my supra. the wiring wasn't bad either.

nmtoy, take a pin and poke under where the acorn nut is in your rig - there'll be a factory drilled hole under there. you can get rid of your bracket and just bolt the seat straight to the floor. you'll need to hold a bolt/nut from the backside (i used vise grips), but it'll save you using that bracket.

My 92 has seats with lumbar and side supports and a$$ supports, and you can tilt the a$$....

Are these rare, I love them and I always wondered why anyone would want something else. I guess not everyone has them.

BTW my 92 came with the offroad set up with 31's & 4.88's

 

i just got done putting mazda 626 buckets in my truck. they still need a little adjusting of the brackets but they look good. they were close to bolting in but i had to mod the front brackets. i will take pictures tomorrow and post them up.

I have a 60/40 split bench in my truck. I was wondering if adding 4runner buckets to my truck if they will sit lower then the plit bench. Does anyone know? I know that Roger makes some lift blocks.

 

yeah, the runner seats are noticeably lower than the bench. you can make your own lift blocks with some washers. wrap 'em in duct tape to prevent them from falling all over the place when you're manhandling the seat. get some longer bolts, too, i believe 10mm for the stock seat holes and 12mm for the seatbelt hole (you'll use both holes). i'm planning to do this sometime, when i have some free time.

 

How much lift should you need to make them back to stock?

 

i am looking into getting some buckets but..... I'm 6'4" and barely fit in the single cab anyways. what seat won't raise the seat or push it forward? thanks!

i have a '90 single cab BTW.

 

the hole closet to the front of my tranny hump, up front are not tapped, they need a nut welded to the back, i have no way of welding it, what else can i do?
