Buddy has 240 HIDs on his rhino, and they are almost too bright. You get what you pay for. Save your money for Light Force.

Dude you wont break them and you wont ever buy another pair of lights. Drop the hammer and buy em!
That's $600 EACH for the HID's ...

I would love to convert mine to HID - not for the light output so much as the lower draw ... even with an upgraded alternator I'm kinda paranoid about all the stuff I run off the electrical system...

As for cost - you have to consider lifetime cost of ownership. You WILL break glass lenses. You WILL NOT break the Lightforce lenses - I broke a reflector once, but from hitting a rock pretty hard. Called up Sierra Expeditions and he had a replacement in the mail the next day (prices for replacement parts are on the website).

x2 ... I've had good luck with the Summit-brand lights as well

That's exactly why I converted mine, I'm now running three (one is still 100watt halogen) and my rock lights and I'm still below the power draw of someone with two 100watt halogens. This will get even better once I convert my 240.

x's 2 on sierraexpeditions, they are great!

I used to run PIAA and will never go back. Their poop-poor customer service, lack of availability of replacement parts, and need for replacement parts (glass lenses suck) drove me away forever.

The beam pattern is exceptional, and customizable - they focus like a Maglite. Lens covers are available for further optimization and protection.
x100000000000000000 on the light force, their pricey, but their hands down the best, just check out their site, youll see.
