PCV/Vaccum Line on Engine?

I'm helping a friend replace his '94 4Runner with another stock 3.0 v6. We have an open port left on the driver's side valve cover and I'm guessing it is supposed to connect to the air intake. Does it? Heres a picture... would regular vaccum hose be okay?

Also, we have a left over vaccum hose reciever on the top of the throttle body. Heres a picture of it. Wheres is connect to??

Thanks!

Yes, the valve cover connects to the intake hose. I'm running the ISR mod but if I remember correctly, it looks like you have the upper intake hose on backwards. I believe the valve cover vacuum port is supposed to be on the throttle body side (instead of the elbow side). As for your second pic, I can take a look at my engine and have an answer for you in the morning.

whoops.. my bad.

It _is_ just a hose from the valve cover to the intake.

Thanks to Tragic Drive for looking over my shoulder.

Oh okay, are you sure?

ChickenLover, or anyone else, do you know where that smaller vaccum line connector goes to in the second picture?

The vacuum port on your throttle body just gets plugged. See pic.
