parking brake cable confusion

parking brake cable confusion
Will someone set me straight? Every place in town lists a left rear, and a right rear parking brake cable for my 87 4Runner.
Why is nobody listing a front cable? Does the cable not go from the handle to the adjuster mid-frame, then another cable from the adjuster to the rear axle?
Thanks

There's definitely 3 cables, a front, and 2 rears. Try rockauto.com if you haven't yet. That's where I bought all three cables for my 88 pickup. You could always go to a dealership, but that front cable alone will run you $80-100 if you do.

Rockauto only lists the rears and has mad expensive shipping to canada. Does anyone know if the cable length is the same on 1st and 2nd gen 4runners?
Sucks cause I swapped one out of my pickup and I threw the broken one out - it was broken at the midframe adjuster, and the one in this 4runner is broken right at the handle. I could have hacked them together had I thought ahead. Gah.

I got my front cable from rockauto. I think toyota has a patent on it or something, no canadian aftermarket suppliers have the front cable... Cept for the dealer, and they wanted $90+

Having a busted e-brake cable and parking in gear in the summer isn't bad.
Make it winter, and you have to warm up your vehicle...
I've got an auto-starter but I need to fix my e-brake cable first or my truck goes off to work without me when I hit the auto starter.

Not sure of this is what you need, the seller does not specify the exact use (location) of this cable, but he does say he has several available so it might be a good place to start.
