Hey guys, this is my first time posting on this part of the forum. i am thinking about buying a 91 4runner, and it has NO RUST. i was planning on keeping it this way and i am going to need something to prevent rust from taking over the fender wells. i was planning on using some kind of truck bed lining around the bottom of the doors, bumpers, fenders and fender wells ect. (like 88chapmanSR5's 1st gen) and i was wondering which lining is the best? does it really prevent rust?where can i buy it? how much would it run me?-thanks

If your sole purpose for lining is to prevent rust I would think rustoleum would be the best thing to use. I don't know if the rubber liner/coating works for rust prevention. It very well may though, I just don't know. However, if you find out that it does. The best Value I've found is Dupli-Color. Its basicly the same as Line-X, Rhino Liner, or Hurculiner except its only $42.00 per Gallon at wall-mart rather than $99.00+ at auto parts stores for the other ones. I used on the bed and cab of my Runner and I'm happy with it. Use 2-4 coats and reserve plenty of time for it to dry in between. The prep is the most important part, make sure and read the instructions.

o ok so just dulpi color rustoleum paint.. yeah i havent even bought the truck yet, im sitll just lookin at it but i was just exploring wut i would to with it. ... im still open to ideas if anyone else wants to throw anything else out there-thanks
