Painless Wiring Hot Shot starter relay/bump start kit
Finally got around to installing the painless wiring hot shot starter relay the other day. I had always had the intermittent starting problem on my '89 4runner and was tired of push starting it
Works great and starts every time...even with a little odyssey PC680 batt.

wiring is a mess...ill clean it up later.

sometimes it would start, sometimes it would not do anything when the key was in the crank position. searched a little and saw that this was a common problem with these trucks (have only had mine for ~8months)...also came across this very helpful site

Cost me a good starter before I figured out it was a worn ignition switch. After I installed this kit, I liked it so much it went on other vehicles. Any vehicle that pushes alot of power through the igniton switch will benefit- this kit takes the juice out out of the ignition switch and adds a relay with decent gauge to the battery for the starter- as it should be from factory.
