overheating after front end collison
well, I rear ended my brother in law up in the snow. couldn't stop at all. I hit him doing about 15 to 20 mph. It pushed my body back an inch or so on the passenger side and cracked my radiator. It was just dripping coolant a little bit after the crash. I was able to get home and winched the body back to normal and connect the body and frame back together with the 3 inch body lift spacer too. I also just replace the radiator and topped it off.
I started it up and it seems to be running really hot and the fan isn't kicking in. Is there something that I could be missing? I don't know if my gauge is working or ever has. It says its cold in the morning, then shoots up to under halfway after 5 minutes of driving. never moving from that same spot.
IS there something else I should be thinking about or considering, or should worry about? The frame seems fine and the engine seems ok. What happened was the rad pushed back and the fan punched a circular hole in it. The fan was working all the back home (iheard it hitting the fan lol) it was also working at home before I replaced the rad.
Thanks. Any help appreciated.

Could the collision have toasted the fan clutch, suddenly locking the fan up in the radiator? I was in a much more minor front end collision a few months ago, but I think it threw the fan shroud out off a bit, just enough to make the fan tap against it, and now, months later, the fan clutch is shot.
