overdrive solenoid
88 toyota SR5 pickup. 4 cyl EFI 2.4 litre, Automatic Trans.
Overdrive solenoid has a solid on and off engagement click when hooked up with extension wiring and laying on the floor of my truck .It works with the switch OK.and after initial engine warmup works ok. When installed in transmission and hooked up. There is no solenoid engagement click.And consequently no overdrive engagement. If If I remove the rubber inner o ring from solenoid and install a spacer washer. The trans will automaticaly go in to overdrive at the correct speed. But there is no overdrive switch control .
