Thanks AxleIke...curious as to why you didn't post in any of my previous threads about this VERY same subject...but glad you did...because this limited slip would not work for my application...because I have all the weight on one tire and the other barely off the ground (no traction at all) and you make it sound like it doesn't lock the rear very well when needed...I need a lock-right

Hey guys, thanx for all the info.it sounds like for what i need it for, it would be a perfect match. how hard are they to install? matt, sorry for going off like i did. i just get really frustrated when i ask something in a thread and all i get is "try the search fuction" response. the first time i searched i did spell it wrong hence no results. the second time i spelled it right and it didn't give me any info on the limited slip.anyway, no hard feelings man!

The install is pretty easy. Look atwww.gear-installs.com. Basically, you are removing the ring gear and bearings from the carrier, then putting them on the Truetrac carrier. Then you re-install the carrier in the third, and reset the backlash and bearing preload. It sounds more difficult than it is. You do need a "dial indicator" though.

If it really is the same old thing over and over again, to the point where it offends or bothers, the best thing to do is hit the back button on your browser and forget about it.
I see no harm in threads like this, but agree if the OP wants more info the search is the best option.

They are called a torque-biasing differential for a reason. They can bias the torque, but never 100% to the side that needs it. So, wheel-in-the-air you've got problems. But the rest of the time it's good.
