Opinion needed

on Craigslist I found a 1993 pickup 4x4 ext cab 3.0 dlx for sale for parts. I have a 93 pickup ext cab v6 4x4 sr5. The Price is $400. The woman who owns it said the head gasket is blown. She says only other issues is the body. She says everything else works perfect. The doors and hood are the only rust free body parts on the truck. My question is do you think it is worth the buy to try and flip or save some things for parts for my pickup? By flip I mean take parts off and sell individually.

If your buying it for parts for your truck and can use lots of parts and have the room.

Myself I found anything worth money is most often heavy shipping costs will most times kill a sale .

Then your talking rust belt liquid brine truck times to strip unless your just cutting things apart can be longer then you think.

What can I say I have 3 here I am about to just call and get them towed away.

Maybe your luck will be better

If you have the time and space and can justify the $ for "a few parts" (in other words, you needed a trans and those go for $500 from a wrecker and you have one here for $400 - yer ahead of the game)

In parts it would be worth it but I imagine in your area there are not many Toyotas left so you would have to ship the parts, shipping is not cheap and dealing with the headache of posting and shipping parts isnt for me. If you can get enough parts for yourself to justify the stripping of it, it would be worth it to me but other wise you will have a ton of parts that most likely wont get sold and just be a big shell in your yard.
