oil pump ?

oil pump ?

hi i have a 87 4runner with 22re it has round 260k on it i had the bottom end rebuilt at 200k or so says the guy i got it from my question is it started makeing a clicking sound i checked the valves there all ajusted right so its not that but the oil pruessur is lower than normal even with 20-50 its still low when the motor gets warm it turns from a clicking to a clunking knockig sound i ran a compresson test the first two cylenders were normal the third on was around 98 the last was in the 88 89 range so then i put oil in the cyllenders and did it agian and all 4 cylenders were all even at the highst psi. do you guys think the oil pump sould be going out or do you think its just tird and needs a rebuild
any input would help alott im so tird of driving the raches granada lol

If putting oil in the cylinder makes the compression even, you have a ring problem.

20-50lbs oil pressure is normal, so unless the oil pump is making the noise, i doubt its the problem.
