Question Oil pressure sensor locations

I am hoping what I came up with to be able to use my "idiot light" and full sweep electrical gauge will work, anyone see why it shouldn't?

The stock pressure sensor fits nicely behind the motor mount (:

no, the idiot light is a pressure switch the gauge sender is variable voltage. will not work, you'll need to use a tee and both original idiot light switch and aftermarket gauge sender.

Edit wait a second, I missed the fact you used that other port. Your fine. Now I know where that other port is. I knew it existed but haven't looked on mine to find it.

That is also what I need to know, if that extra port I am using is actually another tap for oil pressure. I can't find it anywhere in the FSM.

Will the position of the sending unit hinder you from getting to the oil filter?

You're fine, that's exactly what I did when I still had a 22RE in my truck (same thing was done on my 7MGE). It's nice to have an idiot light grab your attention if something goes wrong. I have a yellow LED for engine temps and a big red LED for oil pressure.

You can also do a sandwich adapter between the filter and the block. I did that on mine using Glowshift.
