offroad clean up?

Just a quick question. When do you guys "clean up" after wheeling? I usually take my rig to the car wash and spray off the underside within a few hours of wheeling. We don't have any rust issues here but I don't want to risk it.

So?

I like to let mine back in the sun for a few days

I say that I'm going to wash it as soon as I get back from anywhere, but I've on more that one occation gone wheeling 4 or 5 times in a 2 or 3 week span without hitting the truck with any other water accept for what I come accross on the trail

With that said, there's still crap caked and baked to the underside of my truck, and to averything under the hood

I put it out in the yard with a sprinkler under it, saves a bunch of work. Wife scored a gas powered press washer at a garage sale a few months ago for $30, so no more car washes!!

Yea, that's the one. It does the job real good with the clay, so it should do great on your dirt.

Ill do the same, even with a quad or dirtbike. The grass loves the muddy water.

i use dove, or whatever is in the shower lol

but yea, it is important to wash the underside of your truck, not so much the body, but deff the underside

not necessarly right after, but soon

btw, washing your truck in 20 degrie weather, not a good idea, just so you know

X2

One of those sprinklers that waves side to side. Move it a coule times and over the course of an afternoon all the mud/dirt is soaked. Pressure washer cleans off the rest.

I usually spend an hour powerwashing the underside of the truck the next day and leave the body dirty for a week at the least.
