oem replacement springs, 94 2wd

anyone know where i can get cheap complete replacement springs for my 94 standard carb 2wd pickup? i did a search, and nearly everything was in regard to lifted setups. i have a 3 leaf w/ overload spring setup on the truck. i just want an oem type replacement, no added capacity or lift needed.

i poked around the web, and found lifted springs for as cheap as $190 for the pair, yet oem springs are $800+ just for the springs. i called a local spring place and they was $350 each as well, plus hardware. swapping them is simple, but i really do not want to put almost a ton of $ into a pair of springs for a truck that is worth 2 grand at best.

i just want to replace them, not have them rearched/patched up. a few years back i had spring issues on one of my tacoma's. i had those rearched and within 2 years, one side was sagging again. any idea where i can get cheap replacements?

I don't know about oem replacements but I picked up some 63" Chevy springs for 70$ for the rear set. It requires more work to put them on but in my opinion you will get a better ride. You will get a slight lift 1 inch maybe if you use short shackles. There is a write-up about it on pirate4x4.com. Just my $.02

Have heard of folks having good luck with the stock height springs from JC Whitney.

i just looked into the chevy spring swap. imho, it is too much work for what i need. the truck is a simple commuter, with rarely more then some mulch in the bed. i am not looking for any sort of lift or heavier duty spring setup.
jcwhitney only offers 4wd springs.... for only $149. will they will bolt on, but just be taller, right?

Not sure on the difference in 2WD vs. 4WD springs, but on the 2WD, the sprungs go under the axle (less lift) and on the 4WD the springs go over the axle (more lift). I would assume the spring length is the same, I know the shackles are the same. Probably all that would need to be done is to remove the center bolt and turn it upside down (so the head is on top to engage the hole in the spring perch). Otherwise, try a mild add-a-leaf spring (one that is long and thin), like the Rancho Soft-Ride-AAL kit: http://www.gorancho.com/. If you swap one of the AAL leaves for an existing leaf, you won't see much lift but restore the stock ride height. Other option is to call up Alcan (http://www.alcanspring.com/) and have them build you a custom pack. Probably run ~$400 or so.
