OEM manuals on eBay

I saw a huge collection of factory service manuals being sold on eBay at very fair prices.. The seller claims the collection came from a technical college and saw little use. So they most likely have a ink stamp on the inside cover from Toyota showing they were donated.
As a Service Manager I can verify that our local community college T-Ten program received enormous amount of manuals, engines, and occasionally new vehicles badly damaged in transport from Toyota USA.
So if you need a set of FSM or EWD it's worth looking. If you don't have an EWD a highly recommend getting one. .
The seller is vintageaviation2022
on ebay, click "advanced" search tab at upper right
go to bottom of the next page and you can search by seller

Got my orange shop manual when I bought the truck. Definitely worth the money if you plan to keep them long term. Wish it had more torque specs as some items are missing that you would think should have a spec like the engine mount bracket to block...etc. Overall a great resource to have.

The torque specs are there, they just usually put it in a different chapter than the one you're in. I never understood why listing torque info multiple times was such a big deal. Hunting them down is a p.it.a.

I would agree, but have yet to find it stated in any section so far. It sure is a PITA. Read on other sites people looking for it as well. Even emailed and asked some 22RE specific suppliers of parts (engine mounts) and engines and they had no clue. A book that is this detailed is bound to miss some things. It could be a standard torque for the type of bolt used as is a called out in the fastener section. I have no clue what bolt it uses.

@Jimkola, THANKS for the heads up. I bought mine when I got a couple of my trucks new and bought a couple off eBay and CL. Ya gotta have them if you work on these old trucks. Or you can get on the forums and ask for help I guess.

As far as not listed torque specs I have to wonder if maybe Toyota did like Caterpillar did. I worked at a Cat dealership and Cat gave specific torque specs when needed and all else was under general torque specs for size specific hardware?? Just a guess.

Yep, the last section of my FSM is specs. They give select torque values for certain components, but also have a general torque guide depending on size and hardness of the bolt. I've used that chart, then used a regular ratcheting socket to see if I was happy with how tight is was. All was fine.
You just know brake, steering and suspension components are gonna be high. Those are worth poring over to get right.
I just never understood the big deal on listing certain torque info multiple times. Like the valve cover. there are numerous operations where the valve cover gets removed and reinstalled.

True on the steering, as recently replaced the idler arm to pass VA State inspection. The torque on it to the frame and center link was high. Makes sense on life impacting fail components.
