Nylon Shifter Bushing
Hey everyone, I got a new nylon shifter bushing and seat for my truck and broke the nylon bushing trying to get it in. It seemed like it didn't fit correctly. Do they make them in different sizes? Tried it with the new and old seat with no luck.
Thanks

I've never had any problem getting them on by placing the bushing on a flat surface and putting my weight on the shifter til it pops on.
Couldn't hurt to warm the bushing in some hot water and use a little oil, but I have never had to resort to that.

I guess I misunderstood. Yes, I think the little bushing on the end of the shifter is the same on all.

I got it on the shifter, but with it on I couldn't get the shifter to seat far enough to lock. This was with the new seat and old one, once I broke the nylon bushing I was able to set the shifter with no issues.

Got a new shift bushing from the Toyota dealer and everything went together like a glove. Not sure why the one from NAPA wouldn't work, but oh well it's together now.
