Unhappy Not Moving!

91 4runner 3.0 a340h auto the runner was sitting for about 12 hours. I put it in drive and no movement put it into reverse and no movement put when I gave it gas the tach went up and still no movement. I engaged 4hi and the same thing happened. I then tried 4lo and the tranny engaged and started moving anjd shifting correctly for 4low. I once again tried to drive in 2hi and still no movement. So I engaged 4lo again and drove for about 1mile checked the fluids again and everything okay so I tried 2hi again and it started working. So I drove for about 15 miles to the hotel and the transmission seamed to be shifting okay. What could be wrong?

Thanks DAS

Your post is very hard to understand. Try rewriting it in a way that is legible.

I've heard of others on here with that same problem. One guy was on a trip to Moab when it happened, but IIRC hasn't had it happen again since. Do some searching. Good luck.
