No start up, No electrical power

I got a 1987 extra cab 4x4 that I drove 15 miles to work shut it of ran inside and came back out 5 minutes later. When I tried to start the truck there was NO electrical power and the truck would not start, not even the click click click if the battery as dead or low. I tried the headlights, stepping on the brake pedal, jump starting it and still zero response and no electical response after trying the head lights and brake pedal. I replaced the ignition relay and the battery but still no help. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

i would say start withchecking the appropriate fuses. if that isnt it i would check the pink 30A fusable under the hood fuse box. if thats not it then check/replace the fusable link that comes off the positive batter terminal. ive had both of these things go bad on my 4runner 3.0. relativly cheap fixes, with similar symptoms to what ou speak of. hope that helps. oh yeah with the positive fusable link, my battery somehow rubbed/ broke the wires inside the casing, so it was not easy to identify (took a couple days of diagnostics). so look closely and test. good luck
