Hey all,

I need to pick some brains around here. I have a 1991 4Runner 3vze that has a no spark issue. I have begun trying to pinpoint the issue and I am not certain as to how I can verify the igniter.

I have kind of eliminated the coil. Both the primary and secondary resistance is within spec (according to the shop manual) However I am not sure if there is supposed to be continuity between the various terminals on the coil. ( the manual does not specify) But from what I can read from the toyota manual the coil is NOT the problem.

I was hoping that someone could tell me what kind of readings I should be getting from the various terminals on the igniter. The manual just says "try another igniter." While this seems easy enough I don't really want to spend 150+ dollars to "try" another one only to find out it is not the problem.

Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated as I am a bit stumped on this one.
