can't find anything online, except the halogen lamps with the clear turn signal (instead of yellow).

are there no aftermarket options for LED lights for the 2nd Gen Runners?

I believe there were some options available in the UK years ago, but I don't think they were LED. With one of those nice clear UK lenses though you could make a nice set of your own LED tail lights. Possibly even starting with those LED pads for dome light conversions.

yeah saw those, not a fan of that half assed design of the reverse light.

guess I'll have to buy the set I linked above and cut the case open and install some of these: it is a dual intensity light panel for a late model Harley, I used them to make a custom frenched in tail/brake light on my Phat Tire converstion fender for my motorcycle, I suspect they will work inside those tail lamps without too much hassle.

That's exactly what I was trying to suggest at first. I have just seen them used in dome lights and map lights to replace stock bulbs. I think you're on the right track. I'm not particularly concerned with the aesthetics of my runner at the moment but I'd be very interested in following a build if you go this route. I'm sure they'll come out great, after all you are Mr. iNCREDIBLE...

1 LED panel, the light is 6" x 4"

the raised thing is a fancy bolt cover, I have a 2-up and Solo Seat for the bike. the 2-up uses that bolt to secure it to the fender, and with only the Solo seat on it the open bolt hole looks stupid.. well stupider, than the bolt cover..

it actually matches the key, I cut the top off the key and welded it inside of the same bolt cover, and then permanently attached the key to the bike, it would take an acetylene torch to remove the key

basically something like this, only mine has a mother of pearl inset:

I have an alarm on the bike, so you can't start it, and I can leave the key in the ignition (which is on the side in front of the chrome covers) but it doesn't look like a key or ignition, and thus far in 9 years no one has ever messed with it,
