put in 5.29 thirds with aussies in them today. Front is a high pinion. No more horrid driveshaft angle. Time to sell the v6 4.88 thirds.

Got bored yesterday and modified the spare carrier to hang off the back pre-runner style so I get some bed space back. Moved the hilift mount too. Also ditched the stack since it sits so high now. I can actually carry stuff again, that is if I feel like lifting it up in there.

I know you ahven't posted on this in a while, but about the driveline you extended...
Did you ever have it balanced after you welded in the extension? Maybe that is where your vibration at low speed comes from?
I'm thinking about doing the same thing on my runner since with 63 chevies and lift blocks my driveline is a bit too short!

I know what you mean about height.
Even with 3" springs and 35's my 4 runner is tall...

Hey, I have a 90 4Runner that I am about to completly redo and was wondering if swaping the original engine and trans over to Chevy would decrease the value to it or add value. The old 3.0 is getting really tired after 350 thousand miles.

Nice Truck looks the same as mine!!

Hello Beaniam , was doing a search for a truck that had the Warn Rock Crawler bumper on it . Well it took me to your thread , nice build. I just find it cool that someone on the flip side of North America is doing the same build I'm doing. The only difference is i went with ARB lockers and my truck is blue.

I Just ordered the same bumper and was wondering if you had any pictures of the mod's you did to the mounting brackets. Just want to see what I have to look forward to when it gets to my door.

Thanks

From Vancouver ,BC

I sold the the 35's, I only have 37" boggers now. Always keeping my eye out for a cheap set of whatever for my old steel rims though.

As far as the front bumper brackets here's some pictures.

Nice, when the weather gets warmer I need to cut my brackets and raise it up an inch. Getting tired of looking at that 1" body lift gap in mine.
I'm almost half tempted to try selling it to see if anyone is willing to pick it up local. Then go with a lighter tube style bumper.

I originally had 4" tg in the front. They started to S and the driver side sat 3" lower than the passenger after 6 months. I replaced them with 5"hd and the driver side has again settled to about 2" lower than passenger. Next time I'll make a custom spring pack or RUF or try another brand.
