No Coil Spark 88 3.0 4runner

Alright got the awhole truck reconstructed rebuilt engine now when i got it all together i get no spark. coil has 12v to it. T belt is fine. CEL light comes on when ignition is on. im stumped so far any ideas or tips could be used. thanks in advance

Did you have good spark before rebuild?

Truck drove great before build had oil leaks so thats what lead on the rebuild. checked all groundeds.

Check and see if injectors are firing with a noid light or listen with stethoscope while cranking. This will tell you if ecm is getting signal from pick up coils in dist.

if this might help i have a totally different coil and ignitor i had on my 91 3.0 this coil is round like with two wingnuts for primary. as well a toyota like ignitor on it not the typical one i had on my 91 3.0 BTW its an 88 no sure if i have stated this yet
