a nice and cleaned intake (before and after)

I used a wire wheel on a drill to remove the dirt, dust, and oxidation and some of the harder to reach spots like the nooks and crannies, I used a touch of silver spray paint. Matched the aluminum perfectly.

I also did the surface of the block the same way (minus the paint of course)

This is after it was done and covered in WD-40 to prevent further rust while the rest of the work was being done

for the intake, I used a heavy duty electric drill. The wire wheel I used was a 3" and don't worry about scratching the surface, it comes out looking very uniform. Use about medium pressure and it will shine it up like new.
