Newbie with an AC fan issue

A little background, My father in law gave me a 1990 4runner (3.slo) that had been sitting since 2005 with a Blown head gasket. I just replaced the motor with a re-manufactured long block and it runs great so far other than being a total dog... My last SUV was a 400hp trailblazer SS so maybe I'm spoiled.

Anyway, my issue is that I just went outside and after being turned off for the last 4 hours the AC fan was on. The ignition is off, the doors are closed. I turned the truck on and turned it off and the fan was still running. I then closed the hood and it turned off...

I read somewhere that the fan has constant power even with the ignition is off, but what triggers it to switch on?

The condensor fan, the electric one right behind the grill.
