What water pump to buy?
I am looking at parts to replace my timing belt and water pump as I am not dripping coolant out of the front of my motor. There seems to be lots of variations of the water pump. Since I have a 4x4, 3.0 with 5 speed manual, is that a different water pump from the automatic?
Anyone who has done this recently-- where did you get the parts? Obviously the dealer is one option and the expensive option.
Thanks,
Scott

I went with local parts store stuff for the water pump and timing belt. Also look into replacing the other idlers and t-stat. Some places have a kit with everything included on the idlers.
Helpful link and what I used as a guide.

found the best price on AISIN was at NAPA and then I found autopartswarehouse dot-com and they beat the pants off NAPA and free shipping. Rock Auto has the best price on the timing belt kit.

The water pump model also depends whether you have a spring tensioner or a hydraulic tensioner for the timing belt. The spring type has a tab on the pump for the spring. Your VIN # will distinguish that at lots of the online parts suppliers or with the dealer.
My dealer told me the OEM pump is Aisin, I found that MUCH cheaper than the dealer price as previously posted.
