Running boards and mudflaps gone

4x4, 3vze, 158k, runs well... stock 31x10.5's
BAD - i need to pull the valve cover and adjust the valves

plans
33x12.5 BFG a/t
3" 4crawler body lift
15x10 black steel rims - need to figure out backspacing if anyone knows
a lil stereo
Herculiner/durabak rockers and possible some design work (thinking of two tone durabak scheme)

Then it will be for sale

Nice where did you find that 4Runner? I live down in Yorktown not too far from Virginia Beach. And just curious why did you spell it Virginina Beach for your location?

The spelling was an accident and now I just like seeing how many people notice it....

The 4runner was not advertised. I got it from a guy in Chesapeake who bought it and realized(before taking it apart, thankfully) that he didnt know how to fix it. I posted a wanted ad on Craigslist for Toyota's and he emailed me -- He was asking 1300 and I initially offered him 800 for it and he said no and then I made an offer of 1000 delivered(he had it strapped to his trailer already)

Thats the story - I am going to order rims and tires tomorrow for it

What's wrong with it, Katy? Just the valve job?

There is a tapping from under the passenger side valve cover - I need to pull it off and see what is wrong -- It is definitly in the top of the head and not a rod knock....

I plan to use what I have leftover from EB top end kit which is pretty much everything and I am thinking about doing the HG's too but I may not do them if I find that it looks good - Save the HG money and the new head bolt money. It would also keep me from pulling the heads and exhasut x-over which would be nice also...

Does it miss at all? How's the compression? That's the first thing I'd check.
