New Toy

I have a chance to pick up a 89 Gen 1 4runner for 900 bucks. Question is this, What should I be really looking at before I drag this thing home? I have heard to check the frame but where is the problem spot on the frame at?

Any other things I should be looking at??

Thanks folks.

Here are a couple small pics of it.

Check for rust all around and see if head gasket and steering relay rod was replaced. The head gasket was a TSB and the relay rod was a recall. Just call Toyota with the VIN.

Just look for rust, look for repairs (welding) and what not. How does it run, shift, 4 wheel drive work?

There aren't any problem spots on that frame. IT's boxed all the way to almost the tailgate. Just look for rust or areas that are rusted through, if you find alot, might be more than you want to deal with.
