So I install new bars with new bolts, bolts go on without problem. next day I go back to make height adjustments and the drivers side seems to be siezed the lock nut came off with out problems. I have soaked in pb blaster and when i use a bigger cheater bar the nut begins to strip. any suggestions????

would it matter that I dont have both sides of ruck jacked up ????

you should have the whole front end jacked up, but if you're just adjusting one side you really only need that side jacked up. its amazing what a little heat will do to loosen up bolts. just make sure you're not going to blow anything nearby up with the torch.

Your bolt is cocked in the frame. The torsion bar anchor mount is not in line with the bolt in the frame, either to far foward or back. This happened on both sides to me once and the only way was to keep turning the bolt and they ended up snapping. After that I went to the junk yard and got the improved anchors and mounting bolts off a '89-95 truck.

that is exactly what happened, I got it taken care of. I reused my older bolt.

so you snapped the bolt and had to reuse your old one?

I really like the newer style that does not allow the bolt to pivot at any angle. The new ones only allow the bolt to pivot sideways not backward or forwards preventing your problem and the one I had.--of course this main change is on the frame and cannot be put on the older style. However they also improved the anchor and bolt, deleting the need for the lock nut--it makes adjusting a breez.

I feel for you, seems it's been a pain in the neck since the start. Hope everything goes well from here on out!
