It doesn't look like it. They look just like Downey headers so the transfer case oil cooler will have to be relocated.

that looks more like a 3d rendering...what happened to ball and socket connectors? For that price I'd just spend the extra $100 and get nwors cause they fit really well and no leaks

That is a real letdown.

The only problem with that is that you would have to deal with NWOR and risk getting ripped off. I would rather go without headers than deal with them ever again.

Since I live within a reasonable drive of NWOR, If I do decide to buy their headers one day, I will call them and tell them the only way I will buy them is if I can come to their warehouse, and wait outside and someone can physically bring me the headers, period.

Seems like they didn't pull off anything special. They offer less then Downey at a higher cost, and possibly yhe same header. What am I complaining about, though!? I don't even have a running 3.0 to put them on anymore anyways!!!

yeah no kidding. I feel like calling Randy about this cause they're nothing like what he told me back in the beginning.

BTW- I haven't been getting emails on new posts. does this have something to do with the thread being moved?

Updates anyone? Ball joint connecters or not? Are you sure those are the right pictures? Available?

Nothing from my end.

I picked up an 85 runner since I haven't splurged on an entire exhaust system for the 89. It's been quite the project so far.... Would love to get headers for both if they'd cut me a smokin deal!!

Maybe 22RMania will chime in - seems like he's close enough to get the real story.

Suprethepeg said "end of Feb." in post #99....so looks like I'll keep on waitin'

Well, I was going to go with NWOR until they ripped me off last year. They sent me the wrong parts and refused to do anything about it. At that time, I made the decision to remove myself from the "FOOLS THAT DEAL WITH NWOR" list and added my name to the "ANYBODY BUT NWOR" list.

Just saw these on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...QQcmdZViewItem

They must be NWOR headers.

I can't find the link for the thorley headers. I'm looking into headers myself right now and would love to have a great product. I need something that's going to help with some low end as well. I think from reading that theses headers offer mid-high range correct? would they still help with take off as well? I'm moving up to a 33x10.50 and I'm sure will loose a little low end on take off / wheeling.

My advise is look into lower gearing.

Here is a interesting discusion on backpressure and torque: http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum...ad.php?t=16387 Make sure to get down to Gadget's post #15.
