Inner hub seals or grease seals.

Sry to jack the thread, but how do you get those seals out?

With a seal puller/screwdriver/pliers. Do you have the hub off?

Both hubs are off. I was going to repack all the bearings, but the seals are in my way. Does that entire metal (brass?) ring come off?

I don't remember any brass....

With the hub off, the outer bearing should just fall out. Look towards the inside and you should see the inner bearing. The only thing holding that on at this point is the seal itself. It should have a rubber inner piece attached to a metal middle piece, attached to a rubber outer piece (aka the seal). Just pop that off. A seal puller works best, but a needle nose/screw driver will work in this case.

Ya, the metal piece was what I was referring to. With it in place, it's hard to tell that there is rubber on the outside too.
Thanks.

Oh, OK. Just as long as you don't score the race or damage the bearing it's all good.
