Put a Webber 32/36 progressive on it! Get rid of that 'smart' carb!

there isn't anybody in the immediate area that knows enough about toyota carburetors to take a look at it....just ordinary small town shops... and sorry about that "The Danned"..i was in an extremely bad mood..again i apologize.

cleaned up passages more and it idles a smidgen better....well it does idle now..just very rough..it's getting too much air still..or not enough fuel...i can partially cover the primary barrel and it will run fine and idle up to about 2200 rpms..then i can idle it down to around 800 rpms(with my hand still on the barrel) and it will idle fine..but as soon as i remove my hand from the barrel it will die....

the pump seems to be fine..it will squirt fuel about 7feet in my garage..and if i put it on the truck and accidentally leave the line to the carb unhooked...it will spray fuel EVERYWHERE..LOL

im gonna get some gas in it today (with it runnin so rich it has eat through a 1/4 tank of gas in NO TIME)..and im gonna throw an additive in it to maybe eat up some gunk that could be blocking a line or something..hell idk..there is a guy in town though that said he'll take a look at it (a shop..not just some random guy) for free..he said he doesnt know much about them..but he knows a lot about chevy's and ford's..so he'll try his best..lol

No prob dude, I know this ish can be frustrating. But honestly, diagnosing a carb problem over the infonet can be next to impossible. It sounds like something is a little off with your rebuild and I think you are on the right track finding outside help.

The reason I suggested a Weber is because they are so much simpler than a electronic/emissions carb IMHO, but you have to deal with jetting them correctly and whatnot. So they both have a downside.
