The loose hose is supposed to go to a secone plastic line going to the stock airbox. That wont pass smog with that unhooked like that. I think all that is part of a pulse air type system

just for the hell of it I would just hook up the stock airbox so there isnt any question. You wouldnt be able to hide that hose or system. It would be too obvious. If you are like cali smog, its only every 2 years anyways

I would find a small diff breather type of filter to fit on the end of it then secure it to your intake hose somehow so it looks nice and is using filtered air

just took off the airbox, and replaced it with the supra afm. the one i got was direct plug and play. the afm i got from a member on here. got the adapter from the intake tube to the afm with it. and boom. . took me about 15 minutes to install it. LOVIN the results. turned on my performance chip, and DAMN! felt like a new truck

oh I thought you were talkin about the loose hose. If you are taling about the flexible rubber hose that goes to the tbody, not too much you can do with it unless you find a custom hose with that bend in it or can somehow shorten it without creating a air leak

Probably not, but I would for the sake of it try to put a small filter on the end so no crap can get into it and secure it to something so its not flopping around, possibly getting caught in your fan
