So, I was just checking out my engine compartment and written on the plastic shroud at the front it says that the timing belt was done at 90K miles. I also made a call to try and find out if it has been done more recently than that and I'm awaiting a return call.

It looks like I'll probably need to do it however, so what's the best place to get the parts I'll need? I see timing belt kits at www.carpartswholesale.com Are those any good?

Thanks! I guess the first big expenditure was sales tax. There went a spring pack. :-)

Here are some pictures I have from the guy who was selling it.

Got some oil and a filter so I'll do that tomorrow. Then other fluids as necessary. Radiator too. Also emailed the previous owner about the diff gears.

I think the clutch is probably the first thing I'm going to work on after the initial look over. It seems kind of funky and squishy like my old F-250's clutch when I bought that one.

Next will be a set of rear springs to replace the lift blocks. Heard they are not the greatest/most robust things to have.

there not bad ig you dont offroad..but if you offroad the stress on them inst good and it would be better to do it right...
theres lots to learn about these trucks and i was a total newb not that long ago... yota tech can teach you everything you need to know about toyotas and its one of the few car sites like it!!!prehaps budget a little money every week for repairs and make a list of most critical things and mods at the bottoms and start with the critical ones brakes tires oil changes fluids timing belts plugs!

cant do it all at once and if you work on it make sure you fix it better..make it look more nice and stock then it came! put wires back in connectors..
