New to me motor....manual to auto...

So despite my thoughts on buying a rebuilt motor I think I found an absolutely slamming deal on a used motor from a very trusted friend. It will be coming out of a truck with a manual trans. and going into my auto truck. My question is: Is there anything I will have to swap besides the flywheel/manifolds/sensors? It is coming from a 90's pickup and my truck is an 86 Runner so I'm pretty sure that the sensor connectors etc. will be different but other than that and the flywheel, is anything different?

im not sure on specifics but i took a auto 3.4 and put it in a manual truck so i dont think there is much that you will have to change out.

I changed over a ranger from auto to stick by just changing the flywheel.

You should probably just take the transmission too, since nobody likes driving automatics

Simply not a true statement.

Agreed. I don't mind the auto, it's better than most of the ones put in cars including a few I've driven a lot namely a Camry, Carolla and an Impreza. I'd love a 5speed don't get me wrong but for now it's one thing at a time, plus my buddy is bolting his manual up behind a 4.3 so I don't can't have it, not to mention the fact that I would need his pedal assembly, slave, master, a 90* drill, bit's, bolts and more bull. So what do I need to swap lol? 5 speed will come later in life, in the form of an R series Toy trans, not a W or G.

Forgot to mention, my second vehicle is a 90 Jeep Cherokee so just ask yourself "Should I replace the motor immediately so I can drive my Toyota, or should I wait a little while and keep driving the HEEP until I can bone up for a 5speed swap...." I love the Toyota, and am thankful for the Jeep. I don't drive the Jeep enough for it to break down, so I need to fix my Toy ASAP lol
