Ok ok, she/her is the 4Runner not the lady. I'm still a bit skered about going too far but as far as driving around for a hour or so locally running about I stay with in 30 minutes. Just in case I need to make a call for someone to come get me.
And yes I do have to get her flowers now and then...if I don't the lady gets cranky and no one is happy when that happens.

Well I was on my way to work today and tried to stop at a red light...tired. So I went through that one and limped to work (5 miles). Missed the turn do our road so I pulled a U into a driveway and turned around. So I go here without incident.
So I was thinking a line broke somewhere (Can't be the patch job I did earlier) and I was right!!! Front Pass side rusted through. Heading out now to get it cut and crimped for now. I'll have to BP the heck out of it and then replace some more of the line.

Update...the return line from the rear going to the front is what broke, right above the passenger axle. I was able to break it our and crimp the lines enough to stop it from dripping. Going to replace the line later tonight. -sigh- I thinks is crimped enough to get me to my folks...so I get to work on the runner tonight and not the truck.

You'll have to "BP the heck out of it"?!???
Does that mean you're going to try to plug the leak with garbage & golf balls, or does that mean you're going to just let it leak all over the place and hope the government cleans it up??

I'm using pads to sop up the mess...
But then I dumped more into the reservoir and I'm wondering why it's still leaking.
Maybe if I just tell people it'll be alright they'll believe me.

Ya man I was lucky. Good thing it was Friday before the 4th, not too much traffic out and about.
Well here's the deal. Drove it to my folks Friday after work with not brakes...Took all back roads and just inched along.
Started on it last nigh, I had picked up some brake line to do the repair. What had broke was the line coming from behind the passenger front tire (there are a mess of lines there) to the anti-lock thingy. While bleeding the brakes the other line going to the same thing (other side of it) broke so I was done for the night.
Today I picked up another line when and installed it...had them all bled out. Started the runner hit the brakes and another let loose. I think it was the return coming form the back. I went from the back brakes to the T connector that goes to the passenger front tire. So that one got a splice instead of a total replace.
All in all I replaced 3 brake lines...it stops better than it did before. So on to the next project.
By the way I broke the belt on my tractor today as well. The on for the mower deck snapped. -sigh- never ends...
Sorry no pic's on this I was covered in brake fluid and didn't want to get the camera yucky.
Almost forgot did the pinch weld mod today too.

Hey Lumpy,
Just wondering how those 35's are working for you. Any rubbing issues?
Looks like you are running LC coils and BJ spacers. I was thinking a bracket lift was a must for running 35's, hoping maybe I'm wrong.

Well the 35's did fine until I blew out the sidewall on one of them. Now I'm back to the 33's.
You're right on the LC coils but I have yet to install the BJ spacers, the front is stock still. All I had to do was the pinch weld mod and I was good to go.

Just a little update on the old girl...
Went wheeling in mid Oct and she did real well but I lost my alt on the way home...So right now she's sitting.
I had to replace the brake lines around the rear axle for inspection (took the ones off the parts truck). The guy I took it to said the compression fittings were just unsafe and he could be fined for putting a sticker in it.
I also had to patch up the rear drivers quarter, it was in really bad shape. So with some old galvanized duct work, a bit of Tiger Hair, and some fiberglass sheets and resin I got it patched up...for now.
I also realized while I was on the trails that I think I need to install the bump stops in the rear...the tires tend to stuff a bit too far. I'll have to get a better look at this though.
I'll toss some pic's up later on.
