New(ish) rims!
So I finally got around to it and my camera decided to start uploading pictures again after not working for 2 months.. go figure..
A few months ago a local guy was selling these steel rims.
15x8.5 with 3.5" bs 150 bucks, gave him 120 and took em home.
And that is where they sat.
A friend had connections with an auto body shop so I was going to get them to spray them a nice gloss black.
Well yadda yadda yadda, no dice.
so I finally decided one sunny afternoon, im gonna paint em myself.
went up to canadian tire picked up:
80 grit sand paper - 120 grit sand paper
1 can - duiplicolour sandable black primer
2 cans - duiplicolour flat black wheel paint (couldnt find gloss)
2 cans - duiplicolour suv clearcoat
and went to town, took 3 hours of sanding and cleaning and I started spraying.
3 light coats of primer each wheel
4 coats of flat black paint
3 coats of clear coat.
It has a nice black finish and a semi gloss shine, im pretty happy, first thing I have ever painted
Here are a few pictures.
Before:
After:
Can't mount them yet as it will make my tires rub but after the bl I will throw them on.

I sanded it down and used an exacto knife to scrape all the rust off. Even if the rust comes though I can just sand it down and throw another coat on.
