Well good job so far.
Are you doing the timing chain too?
You might as well since you have gone this far.
You might be better just throwing some lower mileage injectors in or have those ones cleaned.

also with the timing chain, you might want to check the integrity of the chain guides while you are at it. great pics

I had my injectors cleaned/balanced @ Witchhunter Performance and they replaced the injector o-rings. I figured since they were out I might as well have them cleaned. x3 on the timing chain.

found a receipt among many in the truck where the timing chain was done less than 20k miles ago. the guides were factory plastic ones, but still looked really good. the tensioner moves freely, and with the sprocket back on, there was barely any perceptible slack. i'm pretty confident the chain is good for now. if it goes later, it will give me an excuse to tell my wife i need a 7MGE in it.

well, the 4runner is for sale. it just don't have the guts to pull stuff like a loaded car hauler trailer, or a decent sized boat. i was hit head-on back on Jan. 8th in my 240sx, seriously messed up, and can't do much wrenching for quite a while. went and bought one of these,

Z71 4x4, 5.3liter V8 that gets better fuel mileage than my 4runner, and 64,000 miles left on the powertrain warranty.
