Hey everyone. I just bought a '94 4runner. Already chopped off the stock muffler and welded a super 44 on there, and took off the old man running boards. And put in a yellow top battery(I have 4 hella's and 4 floods waiting for a roof rack) . ANYWAY, I have been looking all over for lifts, and I honestly have no idea what to do. I am thinking about staying with IFS, SAS is too much right now. I saw the 4" trailmaster kit, and have heard it is good. But in the picture it does not even show new coils???? thousand bucks and no new coils? whats the best way to go for the lift? Also what is the best roof rack out there for this rig? Any help would be awesome, thanks guys!

 

I'd say do a search on ball joint spacers for the front and cruiser coils on the back. A buddy of mine ran this on a couple of his rigs with 33's and 35's...looked, and worked well and was pretty affordable.

So maybe ball joint spacers and new coils in the rear install dropping a grand on a 4" inch lift from a company like superlift or trailmaster? And thanks this site has been great so far. I have big plans to turn this thing into a great trail rig, this site will help!

If I still had a 2nd gen and didn't have the dough to do a solid axel swap or long travel I'd do the ball joint spacers, cruiser coils and 33's. The 4" drop bracket would be alright but you dont get any more travel like you do with the ball joint spacers (unless you did both, thats how my buddy ran 35's)

 

What size tires do you want to run? You can fit 33x10.5's w/ zero lift. 35's with minimal lift and trimming. I've got the 4" bracket and 33's. Thinking about 35's but am debating removing the bracket and doing a body lift instead with trimming or just adding a 2" body lift.

 

I want to just run 33x12.50. So maybe I could just do the spacers in the front, coils in the rear, and like a 2 inch body lift? Also does anyone know anything about roof racks for these trucks?

 

Crank the t-bars and get some Downey coils

 

Bj spacers + new rear coils + a 2-3" body lift. Way cheaper then a 4" bracket lift, and MUCH stronger...

 

Why would you need a body lift?

 

If he wanted 4" of lift, that would net him around the same...
