new cylinder head question

I am replacing with a new head from engnbldr and am moving the threaded studs from the intake and exhaust from the old head.
Question - is the process to thread them in finger tight and while torquing the nuts on later allow them to seat properly, or is there something specific to do when threading them in?
Anyone have any ideas? thanks
