New carb issues

Over the past few weeks I have been having trouble with starting my truck. Its 22r carbd. Seems to only have trouble when its cold. It will kinda run when it turns over but when i try to hit the gas it just dies. The fuel sight glass is empty. The last time I started it, I had to drown the carb in gas, it started and ran fine though. Now it wont even start at all.

try to balance the idle with the idle mixture screw. Turn the idle mix screw (the lower one) in all the way until it bottoms out CAREFULLY!! Dont tighten it too much. The back it out 2.5 turns and adjust your idle screw until the motor idles smoothly. I am at 1000 rpm idle. I had the same problem you do and this solved it for me.
Hope that helps.
Oh, you might want to check your idle cutoff solenoid. I grounded mine straight to the battery and that straightened out my idle.

That fixes another problem I am having lol. Its not really the idle though. Its not getting fuel to the carb and once it does, it drains after sitting for about a day
