Neutral Safety/Starter Relay Problem

Well ive been searching around and did some of the fixes ive found but none seem to work.

When I turn my key nothing happens, lights and everything work. The headlights do not dim when I turn the key.

One thing I noticed was my neutral safety switch light usually is red and now its not. I cant seem the be 100% that it turned on before the car actually started or not. I think it should be though

I replaced the fat wire from the battery to the fuse box. The starter is brand new and all the connections are tight.

What besides the starter relay could be the problem. How do I go about finding out, I was also driving this everyday no problems until now, except i rolled the power windows down and the stop rolling up before I parked it

Welcome to Yotatech!

Sounds like you have some issues! Hmmm, do you use your neutral safety switch ALL the time, 'cause thats kinda what it sounds like.

Yeah, i have to hold the switch everytime I start it. Anyone got pictures of that jumper trick im not sure I get what to do.

Also would I have to have my ignition set to start and the neutral safety switch held since I do normally?

Or pics/step by step of checking the continuity of the starter relay. I have one of the voltage meters

Just so we are on the same page...are you pushing the safety cancel switch on the dash or are you refering to the ACTUALLY switch that is pushed in via the clutch pedal?

sorry to double post this but I have a feeling its connected to whatever made my power windows stop rolling down before I parked it. Any ideas?

Editroblem solved! It was the 40Amp fuse box thing above the relay. Listed as Am1 its the green kind. Replaced it Power Windows work and it starts up great.

EDit 2: well it worked great for a day. The fuse blew agian...would here be a problem putting a 50 amp fuse instead of a 40 amp??
