need some help!!!

ok everyone. i have an 89 4 runner with the 3vze It is in pieces right now the engine was in the middle of being swapped out for a new longblock and now i have it. my question is this: im in the process of putting the new block back in. with the boxes of stuff i found this plate that looks like it goes between the engine and trans but not all the holes line up. the ones that do line up are not the correct diameter. is this plate required or can i omit it and just fab a cover for the bottom?

I do not know the 3.0, but 8t8 and 92 Toy have alot of good info on their rebuilds. Will send you a link that should help you on yours. This is their 3.0 rebuild. Link... https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...thread-197690/

We could guess.

Or you could attach a picture. You're the one who is looking for help.

thank you scope for the diagram!! i was missing the flywheel under cover, and had the rear end plate trying to go in backwards and upside down. i got it all sorted out now engine is in and about 90% complete. i just need my injectors to show up and i can finish my "weekend swap" up on Monday.

You typically get a LOT better "help" if you use specific thread titles instead of just generic "help"

ok i have another one for ya guys. but this time i have some pics here. in the first couple of pics there is this long wire with a white connector on the end, then aprx 7-8 in of wire, then a bigger round greyish connector located on drivers side with injector harness, is this where i would connect my red wire ( which i assume to be a knock sensor) correct me if I'm wrong.
